A convenient 24-acre pond inside Shoshone Falls Park near Twin Falls. Where thousands of kids have caught their first bass, trout, or bluegill. Features fishing docks, picnic areas, and swim beach. Drought-resistant water source. County park fee applies.

Species: Bluegill, Largemouth Bass, Rainbow Trout, Channel Catfish, Yellow Perch. Difficulty: beginner. Approachable for first-timers and families.

Best timing: Spring and Summer and Fall. Spring fishing keys on warming water and emerging insects. Summer fishes best at first light and late evening; midday is technical. Fall is prime — heavy feeding before winter, fewer crowds.

Regulations: Magic Valley Region Bag Limits. Bass limit 6, none under 12 inches. Always confirm with the current IDFG rule book before fishing.
