Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of Roam Idaho ("the Service"). By signing in, paying for Pro, or otherwise using the Service, you agree to them.
1. The Service
Roam Idaho is an Idaho-focused outdoor-intelligence platform. We surface public information from the Idaho Department of Fish and Game, US Forest Service, BLM, USGS, and similar sources, alongside our own editorial content and tools.
2. Not a substitute for official rules
Always confirm hunting and fishing regulations directly with the Idaho Department of Fish and Game (idfg.idaho.gov) before going afield. We work hard to keep our data current, but agencies update rules between our refreshes. Roam Idaho is not the source of truth for legal regulations — IDFG is.
3. Maps and waypoints
Map layers (including GMU boundaries and BLM surface-management context) and unit-level public-land breakdowns are provided for planning only. Roam Idaho does not provide parcel ownership or survey-grade boundaries. Carry official maps and confirm access with on-the-ground signage and authoritative ownership records before making access decisions.
4. Your account
- You must be 13 or older to create an account.
- You're responsible for keeping your sign-in credentials secure.
- Don't share your account with others. Pro is for personal use.
- We may suspend or terminate accounts that abuse the service or violate these terms.
5. Pro subscription
- Pro renews automatically monthly or annually via Stripe until canceled, at the price and interval shown during checkout. See /pricing for the available plans.
- You can cancel via the Stripe customer portal linked from your settings. Review the effective cancellation date and any remaining access period in Stripe before confirming.
- Deleting your account ends sign-in and map access immediately, removes saved account data, and cancels subscriptions immediately without an automatic refund. Use billing cancellation instead if you want to keep your account. See the Privacy Policy for records that can remain.
- Except where applicable law requires otherwise, we don't offer refunds for partial months. If something is broken on our end, email us — we'll make it right case by case.
6. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Scrape, mass-download, or republish our compiled data sets.
- Reverse engineer the service or attempt to access other users' data.
- Use the service to violate any law or third-party right.
7. Your content
You own the waypoints, ballistics profiles, and other data you create. By saving them, you grant us a limited license to store and display them back to you through your account.
8. Disclaimers
The Service is provided "as is." We don't warrant that the data is complete, accurate, or current. Use it as a planning aid, not as the last word.
Outdoor recreation involves real risk. You are responsible for your own safety and decisions in the field.
9. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Roam Idaho is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim is capped at the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.
10. Governing law & disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Idaho, without regard to its conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute arising under or related to these Terms or your use of the Service will be resolved exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Ada County, Idaho, and you consent to personal jurisdiction there.
11. Changes
We may update these terms and will revise the date on this page. We will provide additional notice when required by applicable law.
