Ririe Reservoir

1,414-acre reservoir near Idaho Falls known for prolific kokanee and some big rainbow trout. Good family fishing destination.

Species: Kokanee Salmon, Rainbow Trout, Cutthroat Trout, Yellow Perch. Difficulty: beginner. Approachable for first-timers and families.

Best timing: Summer and Fall. Summer fishes best at first light and late evening; midday is technical. Fall is prime — heavy feeding before winter, fewer crowds.
