Deep river pools and runs during their upstream migration.

Spring/Summer (May-July) for Spring Chinook; Fall (August-October) for Fall Chinook.

Dawn and Late Evening.

“Non-feeding during migration, but extremely territorial and aggressive.”
Regulations
- Ocean-run Chinook require the applicable salmon permit and an opened season for that water.
- Landlocked Chinook follow separate regional rules; verify current IDFG regulations.
