Kirkham Hot Springs
Located along the South Fork Payette River at MP 77. Features numerous pools and a steaming waterfall. Currently DAY USE ONLY. Gates may be locked in winter (walk-in access allowed).
The best pool is behind the rock wall. Pets must be leashed and kept away from pools. Rocks can be slick. No potable water or trash service - Pack it out!
Burgdorf Hot Springs
Historic resort near McCall with three pools. The two source pools fluctuate around 113°F; the larger pool varies by location and season (about 99–104°F).
Book a two-hour soak before traveling. The operator accepts reservations up to 90 days ahead; same-day availability is limited.
Lava Hot Springs
World-famous sulfur-free mineral pools ranging from 102°F to 112°F. Features five gravel/rock bottom outdoor pools, dressing rooms, and heated decks.
No alcohol or glass allowed. Weekends are busy; Friday-Sunday rates are higher ($12). The water is sulfur-free (no smell!).
