Owyhee Uplands Back Country Byway
The Owyhee Uplands Back Country Byway is a 103-mile scenic drive through Owyhee County, Idaho, and Malheur County, Oregon. The BLM reports a seasonal closure from the first snowfall until Memorial Weekend. Check current access and road conditions with the managing agency before travel.

St. Anthony Sand Dunes
The Bureau of Land Management manages this 10,600-acre sand-dune area for off-highway vehicle recreation. The big dunes west of Egin Lakes and area south of Egin-Hamer Road close January 1 through sunrise April 1; surrounding areas close January 1 through sunrise May 1. Smaller dunes east of Egin Lakes to Red Road remain open year-round but are usually snow-covered by January 1. Silver City Road
Scenic mountain road to one of Idaho's best-preserved ghost towns. Silver City sits at 6,200 feet with over 70 historic buildings. Road is rough but typically passable for high-clearance 2WD in good conditions.
