Those portions of BINGHAM, BONNEVILLE, BUTTE, CLARK, and JEFFERSON COUNTIES within the following boundary: beginning at Blackfoot then north on Interstate 15 to Dubois, then southwest on State Highway 22 to U.S. 20-26, then southeast on U.S. 26 to Interstate 15 at Blackfoot, the point of beginning.
The Snake River zone stretches across the broad agricultural and BLM mosaic of southern Idaho. Elk populations are low and concentrated near foothills and breaks. Most hunters here are after deer, antelope, or upland birds, with elk a bonus rather than the target species.
Highway access is everywhere; finding huntable acreage takes more effort than driving to it.
